Richard H. Kaufman is the founder and President of City-Core Development, Inc. and has been investing in innovative real estate projects including office, hospitality, housing, and retail throughout the western United States since 1991. His mixed-use projects include the adaptive reuse of the Best Foods Mayonnaise Facility and the historic Gallo Salami Factory. Both projects were abandoned food facilities converted into commercial, housing, and retail space. During his tenure at City-Core, Mr. Kaufman formed Mariposa Management Company, Inc., which he co-founded in 1995 and grew in connection with the company’s development of the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard in San Francisco. In 2007, he became President of Mariposa. In 2008, Mr. Kaufman co-founded City-Core Hospitality, LLC, with a focus on chef-driven boutique hotels. Mr. Kaufman is a graduate of UC Davis, and lives in San Francisco.
